Michael Messina
Director of Music, Trinity Episcopal Church, Indianapolis

Michael has been Trinity’s Music Director for the past 14 years. At Trinity, Michael directs a mixed intergenerational choir that sings the liturgy, presents concerts, and has traveled twice to England, singing daily services in Winchester, Chichester, Bristol and Durham cathedrals In 2003 Michael founded Meridian Vocal Consort, a 16 voice professional choir, with countertenor Steven Rickards He currently serves as President of the Association of Anglican Musicians, and has taught and administered the Leadership Program for Musicians Serving Small Congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis Michael has eighteen years experience serving Reform Jewish congregations, and directs the High Holy Day Choir at Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation He has served as Dean of the Rochester chapter of the American Guild of Organists and Treasurer of the Indianapolis chapter He is a graduate of Saint Olaf College and the Eastman School of Music Michael lives with his partner, Mark, and their adorable Shih Tzu, Norbu; all three enjoy fine food and travel!

Mark Cudek
Artistic Director, Indianapolis Early Music Festival
Director, Early Music program at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University

In recognition of his work as Founder/Director of the Peabody Renaissance Ensemble and also the High School Early Music Program at the Interlochen Arts Camp, Mark received from Early Music America the 2001 Thomas Binkley Award and the 2005 Award for Outstanding Contribution to Early Music Education. Mark is a founding member of the Baltimore Consort as well as the trio Gut, Wind, and Wire and has regularly performed with Apollo’s Fire, The Catacoustic Consort, and Hesperus. Mark has recorded twenty-five CD’s on the Dorian, Koch International, Linn, Maggie’s Music, and Windam Hill labels and can be heard in the soundtracks to the movies Hunter’s Moon and Sleepy Hollow.


Crookall

Simon Crookall
President and CEO, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

Simon was born in Cheshire England. He studied Economics at King’s College, Cambridge, where he was awarded a Choral Scholarship. He went to Scotland in 1983 to take up the post of Academic Assistant at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and was later promoted to Assistant to the Principal and subsequently Front of House Manager.

In 1989 he was appointed General Manager of The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh, a 900-seat concert hall which is the home of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Edinburgh International festival morning recitals, as well as host to an eclectic programme of chamber music, folk, jazz and rock. .

Simon was appointed General Manager of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in 1995, with particular responsibility for the orchestral department. In December 1996 he was appointed Acting Chief Executive and subsequently became Chief Executive in May 1997.

He was chairman of the Board of the Association of British Orchestras from 2002-05 as well as a performing musician.

Simon was appointed to the position of President and CEO of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in January 2005.


Feigenbaum

Lyle A. Feigenbaum
Owner & CEO, Scholars Inn Gourmet Restaurant & Bakehouses

Lyle graduated with a BS from the Kelly School of Business in 1990. After working for Arthur Andersen for two years in the enterprise division in Chicago, he completely changed career paths and moved to New York to act. Lyle graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in 1993 and acted in and directed off-Broadway shows until 1996.

In 1996, Lyle and his wife Kerry, opened Scholars Inn in Bloomington. In the 150 year old home next to the Inn they created the first upscale restaurant in Bloomington; the Scholars Inn Gourmet and Wine Bar. In 2001, the Feigenbaums purchased the bakery adjacent to the Café, naming it Scholars Inn Bakehouse, and began creating the Scholars Inn bakery brand. In 2002 they completely restored two historic buildings on Massachusetts Ave in downtown Indianapolis and opened a second restaurant.

Lyle has been a member of the Indiana University Kelley School Alumni Board since 2004 and is currently the Board’s President. The Feigenbaums now operate three Scholars Inn Bakehouses, two in Bloomington and one in Indianapolis.

Scott Evans

Scott Evans

Scott is the Face of MyINDY-TV. You can see him on MyINDY-TV channel 23, and at events and hot spots around Indy. Scott will keep you up to date about what he has going on with his blog on www.INDYTV.com and on his Facebook page. You can get in touch with Scott at theface@indytv.com.

Before coming to MyINDY-TV, Scott made a name for himself in Indy as the On-court Host for the Indiana Pacers and Fever. He has entertained audiences at Conseco Fieldhouse during the games, keeping the excitement flowing and interacting with the crowd. He has also served as host for the teen talk forum at IBE’s Summer Celebration, and is involved in the event every summer. Besides being host for these organizations, Scott did a PSA for the “Commit to Quit” campaign, appeared on The Youth Video Institute’s teen program 360 Degrees, modeled and has appeared on stage at Purdue University, as well as being involved in many campus organizations.

Scott currently teaches an after school program at the Youth Video Institute, and is happy for the opportunity every year to be part of the Summer Celebration to reach audiences, including Indiana’s youth.
As an outgoing, personable, local Indy resident, Scott loves all the opportunities that come his way as the Face of MyINDY-TV.
